Weekend Blitz
It's been a busy month, just started my summer job (doing monotonous-office work - gotta pay the bills right?) and I'm taking summer courses in order to catch up with my credits. Picked up a few mags on my way home and came about this interesting article in Adbusters - Journal of the Mental Environment Issue 84, by Stephanie Bailey on "nihilism / optimism".
Yet another blog posted a copy of this piece, do check it out.
I haven't created any artwork lately because I'm still in the process of gathering creative flow (that's my excuse). Who knows, I might be going through a lazy phase or maybe I need a holiday from the city life...
A question that keeps repeating itself in my mind is: What da fuck is Art nowadays? What is the significance between the culture clash between Western society and Northern Culture? Is there even a culture clash? Seems like it's all blended into a mixture of glorious non-sense again.

It 's been three years since...
I've spent the whole day doing my errands that I almost forgot about today. It has been three years since I OD'd, suffered a heart attack, died for a time unknown, [blank], then woke up feeling like I just got up from the morgue - that stupid december 19 night... Shit, time flies. It wasn't exactly the best experience in my book, nevertheless it's a lesson learned. "Cheers to Life and a F*** You to Death!" Wonder if that's what Jesus was thinking when he resurrected?... Most likely along the lines of "ouwaah, kaw"

The Legend of Ayaashauu
This is one of my fav' legends growing up. Hearing about the witches with the pointy elbows use to scare me as a kid.. not as much as the eduum uushtekawn (disembodied dog head) lol
If only I didn't have such a short attention span, I would give Trad. Storytelling a shot too.
