Indigenous 12-19-2014

A canvas that I had started during the Mixed Arts Festival this past summer, somewhere on the south shore where indigenous people hanging around are a sketchy sight to behold or get paranoid about. Anyway, I had a TV interview to do too so this canvas was my visual shot of me 'live' painting on cam (never again moment but you eventually forget everyone around you & try to look as professional artist as possible...dess). All them readings, learning more about the last 500 years of Turtle Island stories & people's stories started to synthesize while I was sitting quietly outside, at a safe distance fr the chill horses next door. We don't have horses up north, so they are still new to my eyes lol. It was great to be outdoors, enjoy a peaceful weekend & get to know other artists who are indigenous and non-indigenous alike. More stories down the road. Not bad for a brat from #Chisasibi. Portfolio: 24"x24" / acrylic on canvas / title: 12-19-2014 #Indigenous #iiyiyiu /#iiyiyiyu #iiyiyiuyimuwin #amandatsam

Mihîhkin June 2014

#portfolio #painting (varnished) unrolled from storage. Finally, I have some space in my tipi to hang this #mihîhkin ('06-2014) 20"x16" #acrylic on #canvas #iiyiyiyu #iiyiyiu #indigenous #amandatsam #Chisasibi
It was a productive year on canvas
